Having finally beaten the Battle Frontier, everyone’s headed for home. On their way however, Ash and May decide to enter into a Pokémon Contest that’s open to everyone. Appealing with Pikachu and Eevee, Ash and May both get past the appeal stage and end up having to battle each other. Ash using Sceptile and May using Blaziken, the battle is fierce. However despite the type advantage, Ash gains an upper hand. But will May’s Blaziken have a trump card up its sleeve?

you cannot just play on types…. figure in level. Ash has had Sceptile for quite a while while May’s Combusken evolved just before the battle so Sceptile had to be a higher level…in the pokemon games if you throw a low level fire type against a high level Grass type chances are high that the fire type would lose.
Blaziken should win this with no problem!
I mean, it’s law of nature – when fire touches grass it burns – so when Sceptile uses pound and Blaziken uses blaze kick at same time Sceptile’s tail should burn! This sucks, Ash always has to win or at least have a draw! I personally like May more than Ash because it has better pokemon and Ash’s pokemon always have ability to do something that’s impossible for them! Grrr, I just hate it!!!
